One day we played the game with silent e words. We are working hard to learn our long vowels! This is just another way we can practice reading long vowel, silent e words!
Another way that we played the game was putting addition problems up on the board and I would call out numbers. The students would have to quickly do the addition question
and find the answer to match the one I called out! So fun!
Another way we played the game was with our blend words. These are tricky words that we are working on during our phonics time at the end of the day! This one also includes those silent e words!
When we played this flyswatter game, we put up some sight words that are on the primer sight word list. We are stretching out kindergarten students to learn fifty sight words; my personal goal is to have all of my students well above fifty sight words! :) First Grade, here we come!In addition to the sight word fly swatter game, we have started to read sight word early emergent readers. I have created 19 sight word books that align to the common core goal of knowing common words in the English language. Here is a link to my sight word books! Sight Word Books Common Core Aligned
LoL That game looks like so much fun!!
